EBV Elektronik www.avnet.com IoT comes to the fore at RS Components’ DesignSpark RS Components has launched an Internet of Things (IoT) themed area via its online DesignSpark community, providing software design tools and resources ideal for rapid prototyping and product development. Hosted under Design Centres, the IoT page includes the latest blogs and a series of articles written by partners, DesignSpark community members and leading Industry experts, acting as a knowledge base to aid engineers designing IoT-enabled applications. The new Design Centre includes an introduction to the IoT by Alexandra Deschamps-Sonsino of Designswarm, ranked second by Onanalytica in the 2014 top 100 list of the IoT thought leaders. Further featured articles in the Design Centre focus on a detailed break-down of the IoT and a look at how it all started, where it’s heading and why we need it, exploring how “Things” connect from hardware to applications, network infrastructure, and security of data. RS will be streaming a free live webinar – The Internet of Things, living and working smarter – in collaboration with Electronics World on Friday 26 September between 10:00 – 11:00 (BST). On behalf of RS, the speaker, Alexandra Deschamps-Sonsino, will be talking about the reality of connected devices designed to enhance our lives by living and working smarter.
